Eagles vs Giants

Week 6 of the 2018-19 NFL season kicks off with a NFC East division matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants on “Thursday Night Football.”

Both teams are looking to bounce back after tough Week 5 loses. The Eagles mounted a late comeback against the Minnesota Vikings that fell short and the Giants lost a heartbreaker to the Carolina Panthers on a 63-yard field goal by Graham Gano in the final seconds.

The Eagles will play their first game without Jay Ajayi, who is out the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Tight end Zach Ertz was impressive a week ago with 110 yards on 10 catches and a touchdown in the loss. He leads all tight ends in receptions and receiving yards. Odell Beckham Jr. received some backlash for his postgame comments but was impressive on the field after Sunday’s loss. He made eight catches for 131 yards and a touchdown and also threw a 57-yard touchdown pass to rookie Saquon Barkley.

The Eagles (2-3) and Giants (1-4) make up the bottom of the NFC East standings in third and fourth place, respectively. Both teams are looking to avoid a three-game losing streak.
